Fruselva USA has issued a voluntary recall of 25,600 units of Good & Gather baby Pea, Zucchini, Kale & Thyme Vegetable Puree, which was sold in 4-ounce containers and distributed to Target stores nationwide. (Patch Graphics),

Target has recalled a baby food product distributed nationwide due to concerns it contains elevated levels of lead, which can cause lifelong problems for young children at any level of exposure.

,

Also in recent recall news, multiple lots of the generic versions of pain relievers Advil, Aleve and Tylenol produced in India are subject to an ongoing recall due to concerns about the manufacturing process.

Sources for this report include the Food and Drug Administration, the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and news reports, including Patch and Reuters.

Do You Feed Your Child This Baby Food?

Target is recalling more than 25,000 tubs of baby food because the products may contain elevated levels of lead, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

Fruselva USA, a Miami-based company, issued a voluntary recall of 25,600 units of Good & Gather baby Pea, Zucchini, Kale & Thyme Vegetable Puree, which was sold in 4-ounce containers and distributed to Target stores nationwide.

,

According to the FDA, the recalled products had lot numbers 4169 and 4167, a best-by date of Dec. 7 and Dec. 9, 2025, and UPC code 1 91907-99314 1. The tubs bear the phrases “Distributed by Target Corporation, Minneapolis, MN 55403” and “Product of Colombia.”

The recalled baby food was marketed for babies 6 months and older.

,

On April 3, the FDA classified the recall as Class II, meaning that “use of or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote,” according to the agency.

There is no known safe level of exposure to lead in food, yet a 2019 study found heavy metal contamination in 95 percent of tested baby food, according to the Cleveland Clinic. The FDA’s Closer to Zero project aims to nearly eliminate contaminants in food eaten by babies and young children.

Popular Generic Painkillers Recalled

Nearly 40 generic medications manufactured in India have been recalled at the U.S. Food & Drug Administration flagged them as deviating from “current manufacturing practice” and assigned a Level II risk.

The recalled products, all produced by Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, are generic versions of Aleve (naproxen sodium), Tylenol (acetaminophen), and Advil (ibuprofen), according to the FDA notice.

Products of note include:

  • 100-count naproxen sodium tablets that were packaged in bottles with the lot number 17231956 and had an August 2025 expiration date.
  • 144 and 216-count acetaminophen and ibuprofen combination tablets that were packaged in bottles with the lot numbers 17241302, 17241140, and 17241141, all with July 2026 expiration dates.

The combination tablets may have been sold at Amazon and Walmart, but this is not confirmed, the FDA said.

Among the problems associated with the medications are incorrect dosages of active ingredients or exposure to elements like humidity during transport, according to the notice.

,

Pharmaceutical as well as over-the-counter medications are included among the drugs initially recalled on March 13. The FDA on April 8 assigned the Level II risk for recalled products that “may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health effects.”

A full list of recalled products is found in the FDA’s enforcement report.

Brooklyn, New York-based Casely is recalling 429,200 of the wireless chargers after having received 51 reports of the devices overheating, expanding or catching fire during use.

The recalled chargers bear the model number E33A and were sold in a variety of colors by Amazon, getcasely.com and other websites between March 2022 and September 2024.

,

  • An estimated 123,611 Ford F-150, Expedition, and Lincoln Navigator pickups and SUVs from model years 2017 and 2018 due to a fluid leak that can impact braking performance and stopping distance.
  • About 24,655 Ford Explorer SUVs from the 2025 model year were recalled due to a problem with the powertrain control module that can reset while driving, potentially damaging the vehicle’s park system or cause the engine to stall.
