For the first time ever, we have TWO Patch Pets of the Week! Meet feline sisters Caroline and Max, who also double as best friends.
,
You might be familiar with their owner, radio host Carla Marie, who’s been on Elvis Duran and the Morning Show and, more recently, Carla Marie & Anthony (she’s also one of Patch’s own Seattle Tastemakers!). Carla Marie adopted the two cats after they were found roaming the streets of Washington.
Caroline and Max are a little over year old and are believed to be domestic short-haired cats (but based on how much they shed, Carla Marie thinks they’re more of domestic “a lot of hair” cats). Ironically, she hated cats so they started out as fosters. But, as fate would have it, she fell in love with them and decided she had to keep them. They are mischievous kitties, but can also be sweet and loving!
,
First day home
Their first day home was quite the adventure. Caroline made her grand entrance by pooping, flinging it all around the bathroom and then stepping on it. Max’s entrance came in a close second as she proceeded to pee on the floor anytime Caroline would eat out of the food bowl.
Likes
They love getting head and back scratches! And, like the loving sisters they are, they love to cuddle with each other.
,
Dislikes
These cats hate getting bathed, they prefer to do it themselves. They live up to the scaredy-cat troupe by being terrified of any noises coming from the hallway.
Weirdest thing they ever ate
Hair ties. Come on, girls, those can’t possibly taste good.
,
Favorite treat
Caroline and Max are obsessed with greenies.
Funniest habit
They sometimes sit in individual chairs at the counter like they are people! Hey, a cat can dream.
,
Favorite toy
Caroline is more of a girly-girl, opting for her fluffy pink ball, while Max loves chasing the laser pointer around all day.
“Every time I sit down on the toilet she comes RUNNING into the bathroom to get pet”
Don’t expect to get any private potty time with Caroline around. Her mom calls the toilet “the Caroline Petting Station.” You can never stay mad at these kitties though. Anytime Max does anything wrong she makes noises and tries to rub up on you to make you forget what she did. And it usually works. These sisters are such an important part of their Carla Marie’s life, and they make every day a little bit better!
