Meet Kady, our Patch of the Week! Kady, aka Kitty, is the sweetest Wheaten Terrier in all of Little Silver, NJ. She is 7 years old and loves everybody she meets.
,
First day home
She looked like a tiny fuzzy bear and she spent a lot of her day sleeping, as most puppies do. In her first few weeks home, she loved to munch on all of the shoes in her house.
Likes
Kady has a wide variety of interests. She loves cheese sticks (so do we). She also enjoys tummy rubs, ruining mom’s new couch (which I’m sure she’s thrilled about), going for car rides and waking up her family members. Kady is also quite the beach bum.
,
Dislikes
Like most dogs, personal hygiene is not her number one priority – Kady does not like getting bathed or going to the groomer. Since she’s at the beach so much, she gets a lot of ticks, but she dreads getting them removed (if only she knew it helps her in the long run).
Weirdest thing she ever ate
That’s hard to say because as a puppy she ate anything and everything she could get her little paws on. As she’s gotten older her pallet has become more refined, so no more eating weird things!
,
Favorite treat
We have the same favorite treat — Mozzarella sticks. Yum!
Funniest habit
You know Kady had a satisfying meal when she burps right after she’s finished eating. It cracks her family up every time.
,
Favorite toy
It doesn’t take much to keep this dog entertained. She loves playing with empty water bottles and hair ties that are lying around the house. Easy enough!
KD stands for ‘Kids Dog’
You might be wondering why her name is spelled KaDY instead of KaTie? Well, the KD is significant. Her parents initially didn’t want a dog and told the kids she was their responsibility. So, KD stands for “Kids Dog.” They’ve all grown to adore her and share the responsibility for their furry family member.
